Well shortly after seeing Jesse’s last post I became inspired to start drawing some of the stuff from American Stickman. Every now and then during work I have to take a break and draw something else just so I can keep the juices fresh and flowing. It’s during that time that I decided to start working on some of the Stickman stuff. First off I sketched a typical soldier and tried to make sure and keep the gear in the correct time period.

Then after that I started to get the itch to make a simple screen shot of the game to help visualize a direction for the look of the game. Plus I wanted to play around with making repeatable tiles (something I’ve never really messed with before).

Believe it or not, it’s actually a lot of fun building a level and figuring out all the different tiles there are and how to connect them. It’s an interesting challenge. Anyways, I roughed out enough tiles to build this screen shot. Check it out and I hope you enjoy.
