Well, we are back and getting settled back in to our rut. YES, I know I am late on my post! So I will indeed owe Anthony some junk food! However, I am pretty sure we will be able to get four posts out of our trip…So to start us off this is #1
We arrived in the cold rainy city of Seattle Thursday afternoon and had plenty of time to burn so we decided to roam the town. Our hotel had a great view and was in perfect location for the convention.
It was our first trip to Washington so we wanted to at least see a little bit of it before being trapped behind a table for three days. So the Three of us (Brandi, Anthony and I) walked around to see the sites. We went to the Farmers Market and walked around there for a bit and then found a little restaurant and grabbed a bite. There I had my first Martini! I figured Bond looks so suave drinking them and Bender loves them too…It must be a GREAT drink. The result…I’m not that suave. I swear, you could have fueled a rocked with that thing! What can I say, “I tried.”

We wanted to get out of the rain for a minute so we stepped inside a Borders and grabbed a hot drink. There we spotted our book (who am I kidding…we didn’t spot it, we searched for it) in the graphic novel section. Now, I can honestly say that we still geek out about that sort of stuff. Yeah, we know that its out nationally but there is something about walking into a book store on the other side of the country and seeing our book. It’s still feels pretty good.

I have to mention before I wrap up our first Seattle Con post…You know how hotels always have those little baskets with candy and snacks crammed in them? you know, M&M’s for $5 and Gummie Bears for $7? Well, we figured we could do better then that! So we did. We hit the nearest corner store and racked up! God we’re unhealthy! So between Anthony and I waging candy on our posts and us cramming our backpacks full of sweets…I’ll be dead before 40!
