“Your Turn!” Boy how many times did that phrase come out of my mouth as a child? Games were a big part of growing up. My buddies and I spent countless hours playing Screaming Eagles, Torpedo Run, Heroes Quest, Risk and of coarse Fireball Island! Dont get me wrong, I love a good online game as much as anyone else but there is just something about sitting around a table with your buds and suds playing a hands on game. Having said that I would love nothing more then to be able to capture that with the world of Berona.
A very good friend of mine, we’ll just call him “Jay the Genius”, is venturing down the road of designing games. possibly something for a Android or iPhone. That’s where I come in!!! The three of us, Anthony, Jay and myself sat around discussing the dos and don’ts of the design. And though we are starting with something VERY basic…I really think we are onto something.
We started off with the simple concept of of the card game “War.”, you know the game. you play a card, I play a card…highest card wins. Exciting, I know.
BUT then we are mixing in a hand full of cards that would have a specific function. This would add a bit of strategy and fun to the concept. Like I sad, “simple but fun.”
Anyway, Anthony and I thought that it would be fun to grab two rivals from Berona as opposed to just a basic Ele-Alta and Cropone. We went with the Ele-Alta assassins “the MITSURA” and their sworn rivals the Krite’s “TUCHODO.” This will give you a couple of fun characters to chose from as well as add a little background to the fight.
This isn’t going to be anything that we will be done with tomorrow or anything but it is in the works and because of that…as always, I wanted to share it with you.
