The Krite, which I like more and more, has been getting a nice bit of my attention lately. For the most part what I have gathered from most of convention goers, friends, emails from you guys and fans in general…”the Krite are alright but not my favorite.” I understand that every one is going to have their favorite furry fighter division but I just wanted to give these guys a furry fighting chance!
Sure, at first glance the Krite seem like little tree hugging hippies who are all like, “No, don’t fight. Stop the madness….Go green!” And I guess the truth is that isn’t far from the way they are. I mean this, after all, is a book of war! No place for hippies during war! HOWEVER, the same thing that makes these little tight–knit land lovers so peaceful is the same thing that will make them rip off your head, slaughter your supporters and then go home a sleep peacefully…their love for their land.
Yeah, the Krite are all sitting around singing Goombaya and hugging a tree until that first arrow hits that tree. Then God help you….a hurt’n is a come’n!
The Krite truly believe that Tuchodo (toe-show-dough) is among them. Tuchodo is their Mother Nature…but not Mother Nature as you and I know her. Their mother nature is who give birth to all Krite. It is SHE who supplies them with the animals that give them food and the brush that give them shelter. They fight for her the way others fight for their own mothers.
No one more dangerous then those with a cause. Their “cause” seems lager then most.
A Tuchodo warrior is picked before battle and no Krite wants more than to become a Tuchodo Warrior, there was no greater honor. However, two things are to be kept in mind.
1. A Tuchodo Warrior can only be female
2. A Tuchodo Warrior does not come home.
Because the females can give birth they can return to the one who gave birth to them (the land)
And because they want nothing more then to return to the land and become part of what they so love…what better way to die than defending it.This makes for one badd-ass beast on a battlefield.
See….the Krite are pretty cool right? …Right? …Shut up, I think they’re cool!
Here is a Tuchodo poster that we will be selling (while supplies last) at future cons!
